The Upper and Lower Story
Teaching Notes
There are two stories going on in your life as well, an upper Story and a lower Story.
The goal is to align your story to God’s Story.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’”
Matthew 6:9-10 NIV
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 NIV
If we will align align story to God’s story he promises it will be a good story.
