Mother's Day | Jennifer Rothschild

We all have some sort of disability, something that is hindering us. It could be physical, mental, or spiritual. Regardless of what your diagnosis is, God still pours out his favor & grace. He uses it all for His good.

Those who push us, despite our disabilities, help us grow.

Some of the best gifts God has for us is found outside of our comfort zone.

Because of loss or lack, it positions us to be in the right moment for God to reveal His favor & grace.

Our stories are full of favor and grace

We have to face our fears

Our loss and longings put us in a position to see Jesus in a whole new way

Get caught by His goodness and mercy (Ps. 23:6)

 Scripture References:

Psalm 5:12

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.

Going Deeper Questions:

1. Read Psalms 23:6. What is David saying in this passage?

2. Think of a pivotal moment in your life when you chose to rejoice despite the darkness. How did your faith in God help you through this?

3. We all have a disability of some sort, something that hinders us.  It could be a physical, mental or spiritual. What is yours and how is God using this to pour out His favor and grace upon you and/or those around you?

4. We are all encouraged to slow down so we can be caught by God's favor and grace, so we can see things differently. What is God challenging you to see differently? How can this LifeGroup, accountability partners, next steps team help you get "caught" so you see yourself the way God sees you. What is your next step?
