Mile Marker 1: Where do I stand with God? (1:1-3:20)  

• Action Step 1: Repent- do a U-Turn and admit you fall short. 

Mile Marker 2 : How do I become a Christian? (3:21-5:21) 

• Action Step 2:  Place your faith in Jesus.  

Courtroom: Justified – God drops all charges against you, even though you are guilty 

Slavery: Redeemed – Jesus’ blood bought you and set you free from sin 

Sacrifices: Atoned – Transfer your sin & guilt to Jesus 

Banking: Credited – Let Jesus pay your debt & credit you with righteousness 

Mile Marker 3: How do I grow? (6-7) 

• Baptism is a public declaration symbolizing the death of our old self in Adam and the birth of our new life in Jesus. 

• Action Step 3:  Be baptized 

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23 

• Unite – God the gardener, grafting our branch into the vine of Jesus to produce fruit in our lives. (6:5-7; 7:4) 

• Spiritual growth comes by abiding in Christ (John 15) 

• You can’t do it!
