Worship + Pray | August 2020
This is an evening where you can clap your hands, you can honk your horn, you can do whatever you want, as long as it's all in the name of Jesus. Amen? Jesus said, "I will build my church." Say it with me, "And the Gates of Hell will not prevail against it." We are on a winning team. We know how this story ends. COVID-19 has nothing on us, because we have Jesus as our quarterback. Amen?
Westside Family Church means a lot to me, because it's where I got baptized in the big step. At first, I was nervous, but when I did it, I felt really glad that I did it.
I came here and I found happiness and I found what I really want to do and how I wanted to live my life as a father and husband. So that's why I got baptized.
We're doing this because the Lord is saying to me that he wants to do more for the people of Westside Family Church. He has more for you. But he needs for you to come to him. He needs for you to come to him in vulnerability, he needs you to come to him with your hands lifted high. He needs you to come to him unashamedly. He wants you to come to him in prayer. He wants you to seek him in direction for your daily life. He wants you to humble yourself before him. Give him your life, give him your heart, all over again. Just not for the first time, over and over again.
I just got baptized. It was the most wonderful thing I ever had happen to me. My family was great. This church in general, has been such a good influence on me. And it just helped me a lot with my life. And it showed me that yes, you can be saved and yes, that God loves you because you are his children and he will keep loving you, no matter what you do.
What does it mean to you, to have your son baptized?
It's everything. It's everything. It will change his life, if he can follow God.
Amen.
Yeah.
Right.
Everything was just awesome. I love you Westside. Thank you.
