What does the Bible Say About Life?

Life begins before conception.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5
This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself.
Isaiah 44:24
But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
Galatians 1:15-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13-14

So how then should we live?

Value all human life.
Stand up for the voiceless.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.
Proverbs 31:8

What does the Bible Say About Death?

Not our job!

You shall not murder.
Deuteronomy 5:17
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood…
Proverbs 6:16-17
The Lord brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up.
1 Samuel 2:6

So how then should we live?

Don’t play God.

Slavery and the Holocaust happened because one group of people decided another group of people weren’t human.

Don’t use abortion as a form of birth control.
Adoption is an option.

What does the Bible Say About Women’s Rights?

God highly values all women…so should we.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28

So how then should we live?

Men - let’s step it up!
Women – embrace your rights but don’t take the rights away from your child at a chance of life.

What does the Bible Say About Forgiveness?

Available to all .

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
John 8:10-11
This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool… “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.
