Resurrection Power | Randy Frazee

Dear God, I acknowledge you as the one true God. I confess before you that I am a sinner, and that my life does not meet your righteous standard. I acknowledge that my sin keeps me from a relationship with you and entrance into your eternal kingdom.

Today, by faith, I place my hand on the head of Christ and transfer all my guilt to him to pay for sin through his death on the cross.

Today, I rely solely on the work of the cross to establish a personal and eternal relationship with you.

It is my intent to follow you all the days of my life.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Going Deeper Questions:

  1. In a week where we are talking about sickness and death more than we usually do, is also the week where we talk about the solution to sickness and death more than we usually do – namely, the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross on Friday and his resurrection from the dead on Sunday morning. Could God be sending us a message?

  2. Read 1 Corinthians 15:17-19 out loud. Why does Christianity rise and fall on the truth of the resurrection? Have you ever had a time in your life where you struggled to believe in the resurrection? Do you still struggle to believe it actually happened?

  3. Read 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 out loud. How does this verse encourage us in light of the Coronavirus and other troubles we may experience?

  4. Read 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 out loud. Resurrection Sunday is not just about Jesus rising from the dead but the promise that we too will rise from the dead when he returns. Share with each other your thoughts about this amazing day yet to come.
