Through the Valley
In a recent national survey, Kansas ranked dead last (51 out of 51 states, including Washington, D.C.) regarding the prevalence of mental health issues and lack of access to care. Researchers also estimate that 1 in 5 people struggle with mental health or have a close family member who does.
The "valley" of mental health is intimidating and can be downright scary. In our series, Through the Valley, we'll explore what Jesus and the Bible have to say about mental health. As Westside seeks to scale love and meet people at their point of pain through our UNSHAKEABLE initiative, this series will help us learn how to meet people where they are with true authenticity.
