Grade School

What to Expect

Your grade-schoolers will have a great time learning about God’s great love for them. Your child will experience a time of worship, teaching and small group each week. Our volunteer leaders will encourage your kids with rich small group experiences as they learn about the Bible, make friends, pray for one another, and participate in practical activities that reinforce the lesson for the week.

  • Check in your child at a kiosk or the New Family Welcome desk. Please place one label on your child, give one label to the leader in the classroom and keep the three digit label to claim your child.

If your child has allergies, please place an “Allergy Alert: sticker on your child.

  • You can drop off your child, giving the teacher any special instructions. If you need it, you will be paged using the last four digits of your phone number displayed on the boards in the Worship Center.

  • Your child will be encouraged to engage in fun activities related to the Bible story for that week. We have a large group/small group structure where your child will engage in worship, watch a live skit, and hear an exciting Bible story as a large group. They will participate in small group discussions with their peers and a leader.

  • To pick up your child, you can just present your matching security sticker to the table leader, and your child will be released to you. If you lose your label, you can return to the Kids Ministry Checkin desk to have it reprinted. Our security is paramount; we will not release grade schoolers to anyone without the proper matching label. Don’t forget to take all your belongings.

  • To keep our kids healthy, we thank you for not checking in a child with a severe runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, undiagnosed rash, persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness.

  • The safety and care of kids and families is our #1 priority and we ensure that they are clean and safe. There is a cleaning and sanitizing process in our Kids Ministry spaces after Sunday services with an effective and safe cleaner

Special Needs Ministry

Special Needs

We simply love special needs kids and have made them a priority at Westside. Regardless of the challenges your children face, we’re committed to helping them to know Jesus' love for them.

Westside’s one-on-one buddy ministry encourages infants through 5th Graders with emotional, mental, or physical disabilities and partners them with a loving adult volunteer who provides them regular assistance to participate in our kids programs.
