Avenue of Life is the backbone of an initiative to end homelessness serving all school districts in Wyandotte County (Kansas City Kansas, Turner Unified, Bonner Springs, Edwardsville, and Piper) by providing essential emergency services such as housing, food, and utilities. In 2021 alone 1,880 households (representing 7,307 children) were served.

For 8 years now, Avenue of Life’s main building has served as the hub for these services resulting in a need to repair and refresh its facilities. Westside has been given the opportunity to get the building ready for the hundreds of families to come.
