This is Devi and she's holding some of the letters and artwork she's received from her sponsors. "This is only the tip of the iceberg of what Devi has stashed away like a valuable treasure. In South Africa, Anoyo was very excited to recently receive a letter from her sponsor. At Homework Club she excitedly read it out loud to all her friends.
The letters our children receive from you are gifts—for many of our One Life kids, your letters are their connection to a family they don’t have at home. The effort you take to connect with your child goes far beyond the time it takes to write the letter. Your interest, love and encouragement have a lasting impact.
THANK YOU to those who write regular notes to your child. Keep them coming. We make sure all your letters are hand delivered and for the children who can't read English, we include a translation in their language.

Most of our One Life children do not have bedrooms or even their own beds. Many of them face insurmountable challenges at home with whole families living in tiny, cramped, one-room shacks. The children come to school each day after long nights of little sleep.
Many of these families, some of which are child-headed households share one twin mattress. The kids can't get the rest they need and they struggle to stay awake during their school day. One Life would love to provide all our children at Wells Estate and Walmer with healthier sleeping conditions which will go a long way to ensuring a safe and restful night's sleep for each child. One Life in the Jungle | Phakam Village, Thailand
Phakam is remote and getting there is always an adventure.
One Life is excited to announce that we've expanded to a new site in Thailand. Phakam is a remote hill tribe village with little access to commerce or regular resources, leaving the community desperate for food, education and basic infrastructure.
The children look on as each child is weighed and measured.
We currently sponsor 30 children in Phakam. These kids, along with having their basic needs met, will now have access to education and healthcare and will get regular spiritual and emotional support.
Grace House Director, Saman Jantawong is overseeing the Phakam site. His team started an 'Egg Project' for the malnourished children in the village and now each child receives an egg a day.
Saman says "Every three months our team checks their height and weight. We are also instructing caregivers on basic health and hygiene along with teaching the good news about Jesus to both the children and their parents."

A One Life Mechanic
As long as our children are receiving an education, they remain a part of our One Life program.
Pictured above is Ice, from New Hope Home in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Ice was struggling with traditional schooling but has found a passion for repairing motorcycles. He is currently completing a year-long mechanics course in small engine repair which will give him the skills he needs to find a job and become independent. One Life cares for its children holistically, ensuring them success when they leave the program. Your sponsorship allows children like Ice to eventually become leaders and contributors in their communities.
