Dave Ramsey brings 'get out of debt' message to Kansas City churches

Financial expert Dave Ramsey spoke to church leaders Monday evening in Kansas City about how their members can save more money.

The program is MarginKC. It is the first of its kind -- one Ramsey hopes to share with churches nationwide.

"Seventy-eight percent are living paycheck to paycheck," said the Rev. Randy Frazee, of Westside Family Church. "We know that the No. 1 cause of divorce is financial."

That is one of the reasons why Frazee called on Ramsey's expertise.

"We're just trying to help folks get out of debt and get a plan," Ramsey said.

For years, Ramsey's message has been about finding ways to bring financial peace, and he brought to more than 60 metro churches. The goal is to reach 50,000 people in the Kansas City area.
