Trust is putting your confidence in someone you can depend on.
When was the last time you really looked at everything God made? Taking a moment to walk outside or search for the wonders of the world online will totally change the way you share this month’s Bible stories with preschoolers. We need that WONDER dial turned way up! ALL the way up! And the best way to do that is to experience some of that wonder! When we take the time to look at this amazing world God made, we are filled with awe and wonder. It’s that feeling of wonder we want our preschoolers to have as they learn about God’s creation.
Mining for gold has been around ever since humans discovered that first glittering speck of rock. But, there’s something that is even better than gold. It’s the Bible! The Bible is better than gold! It teaches us that God loves us all the time. It teaches us that God loves us so much He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever. It teaches us how to live our best life. And, it teaches us how to share our stuff.
This month, we will continue with our Power Up theme as we learn how Jesus gives us the power to love others—and not just the ones who are easy to love. No, this kind of power is what helps us love everyone! This powerful kind of love looks a lot like goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Have you ever played PAC-MAN? The best part of that game is eating the large power pellets. Pac-Man immediately powers up, and then you can do anything. The bad guys can’t get you! You can eat them and earn bonus points doing it! It’s awesome! Feeling like we can do anything is a pretty great feeling.
Throughout history, God has offered strength to help people persevere through difficult situations. Jesus persevered through death itself to make it possible for us to have a forever relationship with God. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can trust Him to help us find the strength to persevere through whatever we face.
What would you do if you were assigned a huge building project to manage? Or told to step into the leadership role for an entire nation were every person would depend on you to make the right decisions? How about helping someone else accomplish a big job where you’re not going to get much recognition? Or, do the one thing you would be most afraid of doing, while everyone you know watches?
